I am Autistic, Dyslexic, with Asthma, Spinal Problems, Depression and PTSD. Life for me can be crazy but I decided long ago that I would share my life with people so that hopefully something that I am going through will help someone else in the future. With multiple disabilities as well as being Gender Fluid, Christian and from a lower socio-economic background my world is a crazy place. You are invited to join in the laughs, the cries and the sheer madness of me.
*Note in this post I am naming celebrities but I do not know them. I am using them as examples of "typically" beautiful people. I don't know if they would date someone who looked like me. I can honestly say, and I have been open about this, I have body image issues. I make no hidden fact about this. Some people out there think that if you look like I do and are single at my age you should be grateful for what comes your way in the love department. THIS IS NOT TRUE!!!!!! You may not be a "typical" beauty but you can have a beauty that transcends looks. I do not mean your internal body parts but your personality. One of my favorite quotes comes to mind from Criminal Minds when Garcia says to Morgan "I'm not the girl men see across a smokey bar and write songs about". This for me brings in the idea the gorgeous men like Shemar Moore would go for women who look like Kristen Vagueness. It is something that we have to live with every day. I mean I would
Hi all, Once my Adsense account has been set up I will be using my blog to advertise in the hopes that I will be able to make some more cash. I doubt it will be set up before I get to Christmas but right now I am seriously struggling so if you would like anything advertised through Adsense please let me know. If you would like me to just do a blog post advertising something and not use AdSense it will be a one-off payment of £25.00. If you would like this then please email me at email@example.com. Also offering any company/organization a review option. If you would like me to review a product for my blog I will gladly do so. If you would like to have your product reviewed it will only cost you £50.00 for the review and obviously, the product needs to come to me as well. This can be a product or an online game as well as a website. Please email me if you would like to set up a review. The email would be firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks
As a kid, when it was your birthday you parents would tell you to "Make a wish" when you blew out your candles. I remember mine were always all over the place. I wanted to be a dancer, a singer, an actress, a soldier, a missionary, a teacher, a spy, a millionaire and many many things along this line. Somehow the transition into adulthood changes a person and what means most to them. They go from wishing for aspirations to begging for instant gratification. How many women out there "wish" for Mr Right and settle for Mr Right Here? I was guilty of it too! The saddest thing for me to realise however is that my wishes are no longer about dreams but survival! In this last month of lockdown I have kept track of my wishes and it makes me sad. I will share some of the things I have wished for. 1) to win the lottery to be able to pay off my crippling debt. 2) if I don't win the lottery, a flood to destroy my flat so I can get a full pay out on my content insurance to cl
I am writing this as someone who knows how this feels. Financial problems happen all the time. No matter what you do something out of the ordinary happens and you find yourself in a hole. You dig and dig to try and get out of the hole but it just gets worse and worse. You pray for a miracle and it never materializes. By this point you are in so deep you get depressed. What I want to say is there is help out there. I know that it is hard and you are embarrassed but, when you are in a hole help is what you need. In the UK you can call StepChange which is a charitable organization to help those in debt. They are there to find the right solution for you. Don't let money worries send you into such a shame spiral that you don't see any other way out. Please ask for help.
So, I have seen this term batted around social media, in the street, and used by people who do not really understand what Neurodiversity is. The term that I am talking about is Neuro Divergent. So let me give you the download for this term. Neurodiversity covers a wide range of conditions including Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, and Autism to name a few. (the notable point is that under the term autism many other conditions exist like Aspergers). Those who do not have a Neuro Diverse condition are called Neuro Typical. Neuro Diversity is simply people whose brains think differently. If you are of a certain age you will remember Rain Man and if your not of my age you would think about shows like The Good Doctor which emphasizes neurodiversity. The "normal" term for those people with any one of these conditions is neurodiverse or neurodiversity. However, as we have seen in all facets language changes. An example of this is the Q being added to the LGBTQ acronym.
Hi all If you are struggling with body image, I would like to say that you should all watch Ru Pauls Drag Race. I have had body image issues for years. I believe that part of this is because the LGBT community had not recognized Gender Fluid. Growing up I was never feeling completely like a tomboy or a girly girl. In the 80s and 90s, you were either a girly girl or a tomboy. I would feel more masculine one day and more feminine the other day. There were days I was dressed up like a boy and other days I was wearing dresses. Some days I wanted to fix my hair and makeup and look pretty and other days I would just want to run around climb trees and play with the boys. I never understood why this was. So, I had a lot of body issues. On the days where I felt girly, I hated my size. I was a UK size 12 and maybe 11 stone and just felt fat. Other days I would hate myself because I was not muscly and strong and I felt weak. This has led me into adulthood where I still hate the way my body is for
Dear Men I would like to ask you that if you are going to use a dating app, think about the picture you are putting up. I started using Facebook dating to see what it is like and honestly, I could not of imagined how many men think the "serial killer" look is attractive. I am sorry it is not. If I see a picture that makes me think of Anthony Hopkins saying "fava beans and chianti" I am going to scroll past you. Top tips for taking pictures: 1) Don't do the Blair Witch look - honestly not attractive to see what is up your nose! 2) Level photos again do not look good. 3) High angle photos get the best look on you. Please can all men promise me that they will stop the serial killer look. Unless you are Ted Bundy, The Yorkshire Ripper, or others of the same ilk there is no such thing as Serial Killer Chic. If you see the range of guys I liked you will know I honestly do not care about looks although, if I get the serial killer look then I am going right past you! I
Dear World, If you watch Pupinia Stewart, please stop watching her. I am angry about her “I am acting” video where she mentions autism. I am autistic and autism is not a disease. By calling autism a disease you make it seem like it is something that needs to be cured. Whilst some people who are less functioning would probably wish they had a better ability to communicate etc some people on the other end of the spectrum don’t want a “cure” for autism. Me personally I love the highs and lows of my autism. Whilst I get really frustrated at my ultra-literalness, or the fact that my dyslexia and autism is a daily struggle in whether I am chaotic or logical, being subjected to meltdowns and hyper emotions. I do get frustrated and I am seriously not going to sit here and say I love those elements. But I love the way I think, I love the fact that people don’t see things the way I do, I love that I get really passionate about things and I am happy. Pupinia if you are autistic then you
I really need to vent here. I have seen many people protesting the possibility of a second lock down. But, these morons do not social distance and many do not even wear a face mask. I would also like to say, I completely accept that there are people who can't wear a mask but if you look at all the people who did not have a mask on I can not imagine that many people who were exempt would protest in large crowds. Just because the government eased restrictions it does not mean the pandemic is over. Until we have a treatment this bug is going to spike if we start becoming complacent with social distancing and masks. You have the right to protest but when your protesting lockdown why the hell would you allow your protest to become an infection breeding ground. If you do things to cause the breeding grounds to spike the number of infections you are bloody making a lockdown a full blown conclusion. You are being seriously stupid and selfish.
No this is not a post about the Disney movies or the cartoon. I want to talk about beauty and the beast. Women, no matter their look always feel like they’re the “beast”. That is if they are not the “bombshell beauty” that society says is the best. Me – at best I consider myself average. I am no Amanda Tapping! I also know that there is this view that all women want the male “bombshell beauties”. Not the case. Well, not the case for me. For me what is attractive is variable. If you stuck all my ex’s in a line you would find it hard to pick out the common denominator amongst them, except that they're all men. Don’t take my word for it, see the picture below. I have pulled together pictures of various different celebrities that I have had a crush on and fancied in my lifetime. I would ask that you find 5 things that link them other than the fact that they’re men and celebrities. You need to find 5 things that link them ALL. Did you find anything that linked them all?
