British Heart Foundation - Furniture Store Chatham - Review

Today, I used the British Heart Foundation furniture store for the first time. I broke my bed and had to get a replacement as I am struggling with sleeping on a mattress on the floor. So I decided to let you know what I felt of the experience.

Location

The location of the store is very good. The idea of having it in a shopping center instead of on the street is an amazing idea. You are definitely able to get more footfall then what you could have on the street.

Staff

The staff was amazing. When I went into the store they were friendly and helpful. It is amazing to see that despite the pandemic people are still able to give up a professional feel and a loving one as well. I can not fault the staff at all.

Product Knowledge

The staff were very knowledgeable about what they had and were very good at making sure the customers get the right thing. I asked about beds and mattresses and was informed "the mattresses are all brand new so would be charged separately". It is fantastic to see people who know what they had in store. Honestly, it was nice to walk into a store where people were not trying to upsell. The staff were able to offer me the right kind of delivery and helped me out with the right choice.

Negatives

The only negative that I found with this store is that there was no support for customers who have mobility issues. Considering they are very close to a mobility store the British Heart Foundation could look at either getting a stairlift in or finding themselves a mobility lift put in. The stairs are steep and a very long set of stairs. I had to break walking upstairs. Also if they have someone with mobility issues they could have a system that could help people with mobility issues so they do not have to go upstairs.

Summary

Because of the lack of disability support for getting upstairs, I have to rank this lower than a 5-star rating however, as I would definitely use the store again if I needed to replace a piece of furniture and know that the sales help the British Heart Foundation I can't justify 3 stars or lower. I would definitely recommend the Store to anyone in Chatham for replacing furniture.
