Kindness has not been forgotten

Despite it being a tough year the world has not forgotten kindness. This has made me smile.  In the South East of England, we have gone into Tier 4 which is a "stay at home" tier. It means a lot of people are going to be alone for Christmas.  However, what I have seen since we have been in tier 4 has brought tears to my eyes. I have seen a woman offer to make Christmas dinners and bring them to people living alone. I have seen women who have said they will give you money to get your gifts to your kids. My landlord has given me a Christmas present. Companies I have seen are helping people in debt.  Organizations who are just sitting and talking to people on their own. Honestly, kindness has not evaporated with the usefulness of the year. This has been a year of hell. Some of this has been brought on ourselves through the way we treat the planet. It has also gone on because of how we treat each other and the way in which we think we are owed something. Kindness is something we

Ask for help

I am writing this as someone who knows how this feels.  Financial problems happen all the time. No matter what you do something out of the ordinary happens and you find yourself in a hole. You dig and dig to try and get out of the hole but it just gets worse and worse. You pray for a miracle and it never materializes. By this point you are in so deep you get depressed.  What I want to say is there is help out there. I know that it is hard and you are embarrassed but, when you are in a hole help is what you need.  In the UK you can call StepChange which is a charitable organization to help those in debt. They are there to find the right solution for you. Don't let money worries send you into such a shame spiral that you don't see any other way out. Please ask for help.

To all "ugly" single ladies

*Note in this post I am naming celebrities but I do not know them. I am using them as examples of "typically" beautiful people. I don't know if they would date someone who looked like me. I can honestly say, and I have been open about this, I have body image issues. I make no hidden fact about this. Some people out there think that if you look like I do and are single at my age you should be grateful for what comes your way in the love department. THIS IS NOT TRUE!!!!!! You may not be a "typical" beauty but you can have a beauty that transcends looks. I do not mean your internal body parts but your personality.  One of my favorite quotes comes to mind from Criminal Minds when Garcia says to Morgan "I'm not the girl men see across a smokey bar and write songs about". This for me brings in the idea the gorgeous men like Shemar Moore would go for women who look like Kristen Vagueness. It is something that we have to live with every day. I mean I would

Neurodiverse Language Evolution!

So, I have seen this term batted around social media, in the street, and used by people who do not really understand what Neurodiversity is. The term that I am talking about is Neuro Divergent. So let me give you the download for this term. Neurodiversity covers a wide range of conditions including Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, and Autism to name a few. (the notable point is that under the term autism many other conditions exist like Aspergers). Those who do not have a Neuro Diverse condition are called Neuro Typical. Neuro Diversity is simply people whose brains think differently. If you are of a certain age you will remember Rain Man and if your not of my age you would think about shows like The Good Doctor which emphasizes neurodiversity. The "normal" term for those people with any one of these conditions is neurodiverse or neurodiversity. However, as we have seen in all facets language changes. An example of this is the Q being added to the LGBTQ acronym.

Hi all, Once my Adsense account has been set up I will be using my blog to advertise in the hopes that I will be able to make some more cash.  I doubt it will be set up before I get to Christmas but right now I am seriously struggling so if you would like anything advertised through Adsense please let me know. Body Beautiful

Hi all If you are struggling with body image, I would like to say that you should all watch Ru Pauls Drag Race. I have had body image issues for years. I believe that part of this is because the LGBT community had not recognized Gender Fluid. Growing up I was never feeling completely like a tomboy or a girly girl. In the 80s and 90s, you were either a girly girl or a tomboy. I would feel more masculine one day and more feminine the other day. There were days I was dressed up like a boy and other days I was wearing dresses. Some days I wanted to fix my hair and makeup and look pretty and other days I would just want to run around climb trees and play with the boys. I never understood why this was. So, I had a lot of body issues. On the days where I felt girly, I hated my size. I was a UK size 12 and maybe 11 stone and just felt fat. Other days I would hate myself because I was not muscly and strong and I felt weak. This has led me into adulthood where I still hate the way my body is for

Letter to Men

Dear Men I would like to ask you that if you are going to use a dating app, think about the picture you are putting up. I started using Facebook dating to see what it is like and honestly, I could not of imagined how many men think the "serial killer" look is attractive. I am sorry it is not. If I see a picture that makes me think of Anthony Hopkins saying "fava beans and chianti" I am going to scroll past you. Top tips for taking pictures: 1) Don't do the Blair Witch look - honestly not attractive to see what is up your nose! 2) Level photos again do not look good. 3) High angle photos get the best look on you.  Please can all men promise me that they will stop the serial killer look. Unless you are Ted Bundy, The Yorkshire Ripper, or others of the same ilk there is no such thing as Serial Killer Chic. If you see the range of guys I liked you will know I honestly do not care about looks although, if I get the serial killer look then I am going right past you! I

I Wish

As a kid, when it was your birthday you parents would tell you to "Make a wish" when you blew out your candles. I remember mine were always all over the place. I wanted to be a dancer, a singer, an actress, a soldier, a missionary, a teacher, a spy, a millionaire and many many things along this line. Somehow the transition into adulthood changes a person and what means most to them. They go from wishing for aspirations to begging for instant gratification. How many women out there "wish" for Mr Right and settle for Mr Right Here? I was guilty of it too!  The saddest thing for me to realise however is that my wishes are no longer about dreams but survival! In this last month of lockdown I have kept track of my wishes and it makes me sad. I will share some of the things I have wished for. 1) to win the lottery to be able to pay off my crippling debt. 2) if I don't win the lottery, a flood to destroy my flat so I can get a full pay out on my content insurance to cl

Flood Alerts and Isolation

I made the decision at the beginning of the 2nd lockdown that I would be here for Christmas. I think because of the impending move to December I am struggling mentally. The only thing that is keeping me going is knowing I have to stick around for the piggies. I would not leave them without their hooman mummy especially knowing that if something happened to me it could be days or weeks before I was found. I would not and could not do that to them. It does not take the stress of being alone for Christmas. No Christmas decorations or extra money to get some goodies for me to make a proper Christmas dinner. The other worrying thing for me. Last week we had two flood warnings and the shopping centre across the road from me flooded. I am now having to look for ways in which I will be able to grab and go if I need to. It is the only way I will be able to go to London is if there are too many flood alerts that I am concerned. I would then have to stay for a few weeks just to make sure everythi

Thank You to Television

I want to say thank you to the following shows; 1) NCIS New Orleans 2) FBI Most Wanted 3) FBI The reason for this is because these shows have really paid homage to the current situation we all find ourselves in. I want to especially thank NCIS New Orleans for showing what life has really been like for first responders. They did a two episode premiere with this season which covered the normal criminal cases but also, what it has been like for ships who get infections, coroners and medical professionals, local law enforcement, local businesses, schools, kids and teenagers, and more. This is important because you know what, what happened in New Orleans has happened across the globe so an episode that showed the pain and stress that all these people have been facing has been really amazing to see. It also shows the amazing spirit of compassion that has flourished as a result of COVID-19. One particular part of the episode was Dwayne Prides half brother used his influence and the True Tone

Tips for Natural Disaster

We have seen an increase in natural disasters and the COVID-19 pandemic it can make you feel like you have lost control. So here is a way to take back control. 1) Have a go-bag ready. This should contain a copy of all your important documents, 2 pairs of clothes including underwear, phone chargers, at least 1 jumper if it is in the winter and at least 1 week's supply of medication. 2) If you have pets have a pet go-bag for example my pet go-bag is a carrier that is close to the guinea pig cage, a backpack that has sawdust, hay, and food that should last for a few days. I also have a portable water bottle so that they do not dehydrate on the evacuation journey. 3) Have an evac plan for yourself and don't wait until you are told to leave. My evac plan is to go to London and be with my family. I live on the 1st floor so if I was to get flooded badly enough that it reached my flat then they probably would not let me back in to assess damage as it would flood the basement and the gr

I am not

I am not.... 1) Beautiful - In the words of Penelope Garzia "I am not the person you would cross a crowded bar for" 2) Skinny - I do not fit into size 10 jeans 3) Lucky - I will never win the lottery or have a rich person to donate to my financial struggle. I am never going to be lucky to meet celebrities or get a decent paid job. But I am also not... 4) Ugly inside - Whilst I am not beautiful I have a good heart; 5) Mean - I am not mean and do not know how to be unless you really provoke me 6) Selfish - I would give you my last penny if I didnt need it and you did. I may not be beautiful, skinny, lucky or rich but I have a good inside and I put many people before myself.

People with Autism get a bad rap but....

Ok, I have to write this post. Since Biden has reached 270 before Trump and instead of conceding gracefully, he is throwing his toys out of the pram. Now I look at this and see many people supporting his tantrum and these same people would probably give someone with autism a bad rap for meltdowns. I can see the next step will be to try and save face he would be claiming his reaction was due to an autistic meltdown. If you are supporting the ravings of a man who is literally throwing his toys out of the pram please look at the reality of what you are supporting. He claimed "stop the count" yet, his numbers went up from 214 to 232. If the count had been stopped how many of you YOUR votes would not have been counted? Be realistic! It is important to remember democracy is something that is fluid. It is important for you to remember that every vote in a democracy counts. If Donald Trump did not win the election it is because people decided that they did not want 4 more years of st

Repetitive is not always bad

I was told that being autistic and not liking change is probably why I can watch the same thing over and over again. Some people, including my ex, could not understand why I could watch something over and over again. It is even funnier when people see me rewatching shows from pre-2000. The graphics are not as great as they would have been if they had been made within the last 19 years but they are shows I love. So here is why repetitive watching is not bad. One of my favourites shows post-2000 is Criminal Minds. It is about the FBI's Behavioural Analysis Unit. They use profiles to catch killers. However, what people do not know is that there was a show pre-2000 called Profiler which was the first TV show I could find that was around Profiling. The show had Robert Davi and Ally Walker as main leads with many other people from the 90s. The things pre-2000 are the shows that precede the things that we see post-2000. Where would R&B be without the original music that was created in

Benefits of Fur Babies

So in August, my landlady, who by the way is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, gave me permission to have caged pets. I went with guinea pigs. I was so glad that she was able to make this allowance for me because I was starting to struggle because of lockdown, COVID-19, and living alone so when I was able to get Bright-Eyes and Chocolate I was over the moon. I have had them for a month and I can tell you that it is amazing. They keep me moving and keep me going with things to do. Instead of spending weekends talk to myself, I spend my time speaking to them. I get my fur baby love in hugs from them and to be honest it makes me smile every time. Honestly, if you are able to get a pet to love and love you, I would suggest it. It has helped me keep motivated including forcing me to go out when I need to make sure that they have everything that they need. Pets can really help you to benefit your mental health.

Mental Health Recovery

I am not ashamed to say that I have struggled with it being Armistice day on November 11th. It has been a hard thing for me ever since 2007. So let me tell you why. My first job was running shops and bars for the armed forces. This was a proud thing for me because my cousin was a Marine previously so supporting our troops was something that I felt proud to do. However, the job is only good in one of two situations; 1) You are transient and move barracks every few months or so; 2) The military personnel were transient so you do not get to know people too well; I spent 3 years on one barracks and I got to meet and know the lads. This was not good. In 2007 6 people I knew including some of their families were killed in action. I was devastated. The response I got from people on base "You're just the NAAFI staff" or worse "they don't need you, they need us". The 2nd statement I fought back on because it wasn't officers the lads were calling at 2 in the morni

Democracy not Dictatorship

I am seriously angry to see Donald Trump throwing his toys out of the pram and winding up the people who still stand by him. The last time I checked the United States is a democracy which means that every vote is counted no matter how long it takes. This means if you have a hell of a lot more postal ballots they should not be discounted because it's taking too long.  Donald Trump how dare you self proclaim yourself President because you do not like the fact that people voted for someone else. Your country was built on democracy, not dictatorship. You are fast looking like you are just as bad as Kim Jung Un. How dare you. You need to resign and leave before you make yourself look more like a fool than you have already made. You have spent the last 4 years destroying democracy! Take your lifetime secret service protection and leave! To the Judicial system of the United States - Unless you have proof that is incontrovertible not the ramblings of a man who can't take losing, do no

Beauty doesn't Matter, its what is inside that counts! Yea Right

I look at the couples nowadays and honestly, I can say those who say that "beauty doesn't matter" are lying out of their asses. I have dating really good looking guys and those who you would not consider the best lookers. Honestly, I do not have a type. Well, I am a type, abusive man, but I do not have a type. I really do think that it is about the personality that counts. So, why is it that people who say that beauty is not the only thing that matters? I mean it sure as hell helps. How do I compete when every guy is looking for the slim, gorgeous woman out there? I have been told I am a nice person, I am caring, I am fun and I am always trying to do nice things for people but because I am disabled and look the way I do, am overweight due to the meds I am on and no guy looks at me sideways. Personality does not mean anything to men. I am sick and tired of hearing people say that they are looking for "real people" but when a real person comes along because of t

Dear England, I am seriously getting frustrated with you. I am verging on being officially a shielder again and seeing that Boris is looking at a 2nd lockdown I am just fed up. I am not fed up with protecting myself, I am not fed up with working from home. I am fed up with the Bull Shit that has been going on. Leadership in this pandemic Let's start with the biggest thing I am annoyed with. Dominic Cummings broke lockdown restrictions during the first lockdown. He and his wife tested positive and drove from London to Durham with their kids. COVID can come up really suddenly so they could have caused an accident and with the fact that this virus can be spread in the air, they could have infected many people. I can't imagine that they drove without making a pit stop for the child for food, toilet, or gas. He then went onto say "I had problems with my eyesight so I took my wife and child for a drive to Barnard Castle". Now if that is the case then he is a neglectful fat

The hardest thing

The hardest thing for people in shielding is the loneliness and feeling like a second class citizen. There are so many people out there who think that people who are high risk should stay indoors and stay away from the public so that everyone else can get back to normal. This is the worst thing to see in the street, online and in the media. I work, I pay taxes and I volunteer so why should I basically be in prison because people don't want to do things like wear a face mask. I have committed no crime, I have have broken no law and yet people expect me to stay indoors 24 hours a day 7 days a week. I am not a second class citizen. How about this, if people really think this is the way to go, build the clinically vulnerable and the extremely clinically vulnerable housing ( a gated community where everyone has a garden) and all shielders move there. Gas, Electric, Council tax and internet gets paid by the government and supermarkets create a system where deliveries in the morning go to

Survival Instinct

I regularly get asked why I consider myself in my own version of Witness Protection. Well the truth is that I am a survivor of abuse.  My ex who was on again off again over several years was abusive. Not physically but mentally, emotionally and sometimes financially at times. He would promise me things and then last minute ghost me. He proposed to me, then ghosted me and dumped me. He cheated on me regularly and used me as a way to cheat on other people he was seeing with me. He also kind of stalked me a little bit. Because of his job and mine I was afraid of him dropping into my work place. So, when I moved home, I made sure I scrubbed my social media account, I  do not post where I live anywhere. There are no go area's for me to work or live. I have cut ties with everyone who could connect my ex to where I live. So, I am in my own version of witness protection. If I had money, I would make it more serious hiding I would change my name, I would get the most high tech IT so that I

What does "So you see" mean to me

Dhar Man has come out with merchandise with the slogan "So You See" out which is amazing. If you do not know "so you see" is used a lot in his videos to explain the situation that comes about. It usually has a positive ending to the message after a trial or tribulation. For his launch he was asking "What does So You See mean to you". For me, So You See, means a lot to me. I can use it to explain a lot of myself. I was diagnosed with many conditions which has led me to struggle through my life. Some of this comes from being born in the wrong decade where medical conditions that I had were not attributed to females.  I have to deal with two mental health conditions and physical disabilities. I deal with autism and dyslexia and asthma. I really struggle a lot in my life. I struggle with work, personal life and many more. My self image is completely shot most of the time wondering "when will my Vin come into my life".  But I would not change any of t

Shielding Support

This COVID-19 Pandemic has been hard.  It has been doubly hard on those who have to shield and reduce their movement outside. When you have to restrict yourself to the home it can have a dramatic effect on your well-being and mobility. Your mental well-being is affected too. When you are alone and unable to have contact with the outside world it is hard. No one will really know how hard it is until they have had to go through it. Being autistic it was hard to change my routine at the drop of a hat to fit in with shielding but I had to. I had COVID symptoms really badly and I was told to shield. SO I did.  This time round I want to rally the shielders and the activity restricters. We need to come together to support each other when we have to go back inside. I have started a Facebook group. The group is here  Support Group . This group is for those who have to stay inside during this lock down whether it is as a shielder or as to restrict your activities outside then join the group and

Autism & Change - Again!

I am a big advocator for change. I know that sounds mad being autistic but I like to push myself. I am more used to changes when I have made the change myself. When, however, someone makes the change for me, all bets are off. I am currently awake at 22:39 because the change in my flat is Chocolate and Bright Eyes. They are my 8-week old guinea pigs. What I did not imagine is the changes in the noises in the flat. I seem to be sleeping very light and they are doing things in the dark. This is causing noises that I am not used to. I can't explain to them that they need to behave and that I need to get used to them just as much as they need to get used to me.  I can see there is going to be an adjustment period.  I really believe that autistic children and adults should have their own pets. Pets are something that can give a person with autism some stability that they are crying out for. It is so important that we have something that is our comfort when we are struggling and that is w

What is PTSD?

Many people ask me, "you did not serve in the forces how do you have PTSD?" The answer is simple. PTSD is not just a soldiers mental health problem. It can affect anyone who has witnessed or been part of a trauma.  So what is PTSD at its heart? To answer that you have to know how the brain works. Imagine this is your brain (the box in the middle) is a factory. Normal memories go into the factory, get processed and come out the other end and filed away. Your factory process it and it goes from being in the now and filed into the past. This is key in how PTSD happens. However, when you have a traumatic memory it looks more like this. Because of the trauma in the memory, it cant all fit through the factory door. This means, no matter how many times the factory tries to process it and when it cant it spits it back out. This is why when you have a triggering event it still feels like it is in the now. It makes you feel like it is happening all over again. The treatment that I have

I am Whole

I am whole! In August my land lady gave me permission to have caged pets. Today I finally brought me my guinea pigs. My first one is a beautiful shade of brown. She has a dark brown body with a light brown face. I looked at her and was like, she is mine. I knew when I saw her that she was my baby. I have seen that she is the nervous one. She is also the curious one. My second one is a mousy gray colour. She also has bright red eyes. So, for me her name was easy, she is Bright Eyes. She is very brave. I am looking forward to seeing them grow up and grow into their own. I am whole, I have my fur babies.

Personal Responsibility

I have been told I am heartless and that I am only calling for personal responsibility because Donald J Trump supposidly had COVID-19 and that I apparently hate him. This is not true. I have been calling for people to take responsibility for their actions with respect of COVID19 since I had symptoms back in March April Time. So for point one, I do not hate Donald J Trump. In fact at the beginning I believed that whilst some of his wording was ridiculous but I thought he had the making of some decent policies. Unfortunately the longer his presidency went on, I saw him for what he was a racists. I do not hate him though. In a free country we are free to believe in anything that we want to believe in. However, those who live and work in the public light should hide thei worse traits and not allow them to impact their work. I do not hate him. I do not even dislike him. I do not feel anything for the man except for maybe pity. In terms

Amazon, for shielders

I wanted to share with you a tip I learned through the last round of shielding. has been something of a life saver to me. As someone who deals with Autism and living alone for the first time I decided certain things I would bulk buy. These things are; Toilet Paper; Washing up liquid; Washing tablets for the washing machine; I decided to do this because it works out cheaper and it can last you a long period of time. We then fell into the pandemic. I had to shield. Amazon has been a god send for me. Being able to bulk buy cheaper then going to the store has been a life saver. I know that if I am unable to goto the shop I will still have my essentials. For anyone who has to shield for any lockdown, look at the Amazon for your country and see what deals you have available to you. It can be a life saver. Before I lea

Support Each Other

We are still in a wave of this pandemic where the numbers can surge at any moment. When you let yourself relax on social distancing and facemasks, the numbers increase. So, what exactly is important? What is important is that we do not loose our Humanity. It is easy to say, "Oh no, there is a pandemic and I will clear the shelves and take care of me" but what about those who still have to attend their work places. Those who can not be furloughed but, because you have taken all the food they can not eat. During this pandemic we need to SUPPORT EACH OTHER! and I can not stress that enough. Here are some steps that you can do to support people around you during this crisis: Stick to your normal shopping habits. DO NOT PANIC SHOP! If you have the space, bulk buy from places like Amazon or Costco. Aside from the fact this will be cheaper for you, it leaves essential supplies for those

Anger at protesters

I really need to vent here. I have seen many people protesting the possibility of a second lock down. But, these morons do not social distance and many do not even wear a face mask. I would also like to say, I completely accept that there are people who can't wear a mask but if you look at all the people who did not have a mask on I can not imagine that many people who were exempt would protest in large crowds. Just because the government eased restrictions it does not mean the pandemic is over. Until we have a treatment this bug is going to spike if we start becoming complacent with social distancing and masks. You have the right to protest but when your protesting lockdown why the hell would you allow your protest to become an infection breeding ground. If you do things to cause the breeding grounds to spike the number of infections you are bloody making a lockdown a full blown conclusion. You are being seriously stupid and selfish.

My heart aches for the Law Enforcement Community tonight

Today my heart is aching. A police officer was shot and killed in London. I do not care whether you are pro or anti police this is heart breaking. We need to be supporting our brave men and women in uniform. Ignore what the protesters who are calling for the police to be dismantled. We need our police forces. Every single one of us need them. Now here is why: If we did not have the police who the hell would solve crimes If you were raped would you want mob justice Police Officers risk everything they have and are to do what they do, including their lives Police officers solve the cases that are so traumatising, I would not wish it on anyone. This includes child murders and child molestation. Can you honestly tell me that you would be ok with turning up to a house where parents have killed their child? Do you think you could get out of that situation unscathed? I bet you couldn't Police officers see the worst that our w

Negativity has no place here

I have been seeing so much negativity around being aimed at people who either are not returning to the office or those who can not wear a mask. It is not something I like to see. I am someone who has asthma and I would be medically exempt from face-masks but I am not willing to risk getting sick again. However, the exemptions to the face masks for people who can not wear them is there for a reason. If you have someone who is not able to breath in a facemask then they should be exempt. If someone has suffered a trauma where covering the mouth and nose and cant wear a mask because of anxiety etc should be exempt. These people should not be judged. Maybe, if there was a way to identify legitimate exempt people then the negativity would go away but, we need to be more considerate. This pandemic is bringing out the best in people and the worst in people. Those in power need to work together to bring countries together instead of breaking them apart. Also thos

We are strong together

This pandemic has really hit hard for a lot of people. No one is immune for this pandemic. It has hit us financially, emotionally, physically, and mentally. It does not care whether you are rich or poor, whether you are black or white, jewish or christian. It will hit us all. What I want to say to everyone is that you should not give up trying. It is not something that we can escape from however, we can stay strong. I know it is hard, we see people in government doing their own thing and expecting us to do the hard stuff however, we are strong. We can survive this pandemic. We can not survive this on our own though. We are social creatures and when we can't socialise it affects us badly. We can get through this. What we need to do is be realistic. We need to social distance, we need to wear a mask when we are in the store and we need to not over whelm our medical professionals. If we run out of tests then we will be back in the same position we were

What do I bring to the table.

I just watched a Dhar Mann Video today that has really made me think, especially in the light of a recent event that happened to me. The video was about a husband and a wife. The husband was really angry that his wife only made him a cake for his birthday and listed all the financial resources he put into everything including rent, food, electricity, and cleaning supplies. The wife, obviously upset lists everything she does and it makes him realize that whilst he does contribute financially his wife's contributions are equally as important. Recently I had a message from someone who asked me to drop everything and come to London to attend a party they were throwing and I said no. I explained that as someone who was shielding I have to be really careful what I choose to do outside of the flat, and I could not justify that risk. The message I got back was that I am never there for them and they do everything. I decided to block this person after they chose to block me as well. But in

SUPRENT Corded Hair Clippers for Men - Review

I brought these hair clippers from and now I am here to review. Price The price of them when I brought them was £26 so it was not that bad considering how much that came with it including size guiders, scissors, bibb, side clip guides, and hair clips. However, I found out why it was so cheap. Product Some of the items that were supposed to be in the box did not arrive with it and one of the size guides was very flimsy and broke.  The worst part of this product was the actual clipper itself. I used it twice. The first time the clipper got hot when I used it but it was bearable. The second time I used it I ended up having to handle it with a tea towel because it got to the point I thought that I would burn my hand. I had to finish cutting my hair nail scissors because I did not dare use it any longer. Whilst using it as well there started to have a smell of burning.  It also did not do a proper shave and had to go over areas again and again. This is not good for people who

British Heart Foundation - Furniture Store Chatham - Review

Today, I used the British Heart Foundation furniture store for the first time. I broke my bed and had to get a replacement as I am struggling with sleeping on a mattress on the floor. So I decided to let you know what I felt of the experience. Location The location of the store is very good. The idea of having it in a shopping center instead of on the street is an amazing idea. You are definitely able to get more footfall then what you could have on the street. Staff The staff was amazing. When I went into the store they were friendly and helpful. It is amazing to see that despite the pandemic people are still able to give up a professional feel and a loving one as well. I can not fault the staff at all.  Product Knowledge The staff were very knowledgeable about what they had and were very good at making sure the customers get the right thing. I asked about beds and mattresses and was informed "the mattresses are all brand new so would be charged separately". It is fantastic

Smile Squad Review

Smile Squad - Review I have been watching Smile Squad for over a year now and am going to review this. Smile Squad Skits These skits are amazing. They are run by Markian, Kurt, and Sam. The skits can be on anything from "what's it like to have a Japenese Boyfriend" or "What's it like to have a friend from Florida". When Covid-19 hit they also did some skits on lockdown as well. The skits are very light-hearted and very funny. Even when they do a skit around a serious issue it is done tastefully. It really helps to lighten the mood. Smile Squad Interviews I have seen some videos from Smile Squad where they have interacted with people from different backgrounds to see what life is like for them. These interviews have included with a Drag Queen, someone with a disability, someone with a stammer. These videos are very informative and done in an amazing way to bring important messages out. I, in fact was encouraged to have a conversation with my line manager when

Why I watch Dhar Mann

Hi all So today, I want to talk to you about the social media influencer Dhar Mann.  If you read about his history you will know that he is an entrepreneur who started his first business at 19. He decided to branch out into motivational videos. When he started that he was on the verge of giving up until one video went viral and it took off from there.   So I have been watching his videos for a couple of years now. You may think that it makes me geeky or a fangirl but it really has helped me. Some of the videos that I really found supporting are:  COVID-19 Rips people off when a stranger teaches him a less.   Boss Harasses assistant and what happens next will shock you  A lady cant afford groceries and a stranger changes her life forever

I bet they did not know....

So this is me writing about something random.  As someone who was born in the wrong decade and got missed as a child for the autism diagnosis, I watched a lot of television. It informed me of how to behave in the real world... Sometimes I got it right, other times I got it incredibly wrong. But I have always wondered if the writers of these shows knew how much their shows help in today's world. Some times in the most bizarre ways. I have been undergoing CBT therapy for PTSD and we are at the stage where we update the memory. You bring things in that you know now, to bring down the emotional element of the memory. You can use anything that will help you the trick is that it has to mean something to you. For me, I used two things that I knew from TV that meant something to me. Anti-Possession Symbol For those of you who are Supernatural fans, you will know the symbol I mean. Dean and Sam have it tattoed on them. Always nice to see the symbol.  The symbol is to stop demons and angels

Why do I support others?

If you are reading this on my twitter, you will know all the diagnosis I have as I put them in the descriptions bar with #. But still people wonder why I care so much about supporting others. Well here is why. Dyslexia I was 16 when I was diagnosed with dyslexia and I can honestly say, I do not think I would have made it through 6th form without two amazing teachers. Mr. Phillips had me for AS Sociology and he noticed straight away that my essay skills for sociology were not that good. Out of a possible 20, I was getting 1-3s out of it. One day he pulled me aside and said I want to help you because I know you are capable of much more just your needing help. NB I had only been diagnosed as dyslexic a year at this point. From that point on when I got my homework back if the result was in the single digits he would find a free period that he and I had together. He would talk about the homework assignment and pointed out places where I could have picked up more marks. He would then tell m

The Power of Goodness

There is a power of goodness that we can harness in ourselves but not everyone considers it worthwhile to harness. The power of goodness comes from being as helpful as you humanly possibly be. It does not have to be something massive, it can be small acts that can harness the power of goodness in you. For me, I am doing some autumn cleaning in my flat and I am looking at how I can upcycle or donate what I am giving away will help others. I am looking at what I have and if I can donate it somewhere I will. An example is, I have many teddy bears and food to donate to a food bank so I am looking to see if they will take both. The food would be for those in need of it and the teddys can be given to customers who had kids or even to volunteers that they could have for theirs.  It is not something that has to be AMAZING. You only have to do what you can do. It is not something that you have to take out of your way but honestly, the rewards are amazing.  I am someone who needs to help. It is
